International Student Fee

Beginning Fall 2003, the University of Arizona implemented the International Student Fee in order to make up for the rising cost of maintaining SEVIS compliance mandated by the U.S. government. Effective in Fall 2006, F-1 and J-1 students are required to pay $70 per semester (fee is subject to change), and the fee will apply to the student’s first term and any subsequent Fall and Spring terms.

The International Student Fee is directly billed to the student’s Bursar’s account in the beginning of each semester, and no separate notification about billing will be sent out.

We will continue to do whatever we can to keep costs low, and we will provide updated information via our listserv and website should the fee change in upcoming years.
