Immigration : F1 : F-Status Address

F-Status Address

F-1 students must inform ISPS of his or her local U.S. address immediately upon arrival (no later than the last day of the new student orientation program). In addition, F-1 students need to inform ISPS of any changes to both local U.S. and Home country addresses within 10 days of change. The local U.S. address provided by the student must be the actual physical location where he or she resides, rather than a mailing address (PO Box address or UA Departmental address is not acceptable).

Important:

Failure to report a local U.S. address in a timely manner is a violation of immigration regulations. The SEVIS automatically terminates a student’s Form I-20 if it does not recognize his or her local U.S. address.

How To Report A Local U.S. Address To ISPS:
  • Step 1: Log in Student-Link at <https://sl.arizona.edu/student%5Flink/>
  • Step 2: Click “Personal, ” then click “Addresses”
  • Step 3: Enter/update a local U.S. and home country addresses (Please make sure a local U.S. address is designated as "local" in student-link)

Note 1: F-1 students are required to update any address changes through student-link during post completion OPT

Note 2: AR-11 (or AR-11SR) is not required as long as a student reports any address changes through Student-Link while maintaining an F-1 status

Note 3: If change of status application has been filed, a student must also notify the respective USCIS office or Service Center a change of address.

Note 4: If you move after OPT application has been filed but not yet approved, you must update your address directly with USCIS
